LIFE INSURANCE BENEFITS
Group life insurance provides coverage to employees that may be unable to get it elsewhere due to existing health conditions. Most employees don’t have life insurance unless it’s offered through their employer.
Life insurance protects against financial hardship after the death of the insured by paying out a sum of money either on the death of the insured person or after a set period.
Group Term Life Insurance – life insurance protection for a specified period of time provided to an entire group of employees by the employer.
Whole life insurance – can help protect your spouse during retirement or become a legacy for your loved ones or a favorite charity. It also provides guaranteed cash value that you can access at any time for any need, including funds to help pay for college, cash to support your business, or income in retirement. So, if you have loved ones or businesses that depend on you; you should consider whole life insurance.
Voluntary Life Insurance – low-cost life insurance protection for a specified period of time voluntarily taken and paid for entirely by the employee.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) – pays a benefit for loss of life or dismemberment as a direct result of an accident. The covered injuries or death must occur within 365 days from that accident. (AD&D is often bundled with group life insurance)
